"How Safe are Britain's Roads?"
Did anyone watch it on BBC2 last evening?
The demonstration of EBD was really good and my wife, "I bet our old banger doesn't have that?" I was delighted to be able to offer reassurance that, yes, it does...

I watched the first part but made me too angry so I had to stop. Seemed to open with the usual rubbish about how breaking the speed limit is tantamount to mass murder. I especially objected to the bloke who claimed that it was a proven fact that raising the motorway speedlimit would result in more deaths and seriously injured. Lots more interviews desperately seeking people who would support lowering the speed limit everywhere. Just heard one biker who, when asked about lowering the speed limit on a dangerous section of road from 60 to 40, commented that it's not the people doing 60 who are the problem, it's the ones doing twice that. This may have been satisfying the need for balance.
Sounds like it got more interesting after the poor early start. |

I put my views in the general section on here and found it lacking throughout.
