£3.91 on PFS plus postage, but I don't know if they're in stock and how long it will take to get there.

Managed to get a used one to get the car back on the road for now. New one from my local Volvo dealer was around £3.80

Glad you've found a fix.
Interesting how the Volvo dealers often come in at about the same price or lower than the independents despite the opinion that a lot of people have about them being robbers.

I find that to be the case on many occasions. When I bought the C70 the plastic cover over the obd port was missing. £14 for a secondhand one on ebay - apparently very rare and unobtainable. I bought a new one from the local dealer for 70 pence!

Definitely started my day with a chuckle.
ebay £14 rare and unobtainable
Volvo dealer 70p and probably 'Do you want us to give you a call this afternoon when it comes in?'

eBay prices are a joke where 'Volvo super tax' is applied tenfold along with 'unobtainable' or 'rare' diatribe when in reality the item is still available from the Volvo dealer and a very reasonable non-inflated cost. At the moment the 'Japanese Volvo tax' on eBay seems to take pricing to a completely new level...

The only reason I asked here for a clip was to allow me to keep the car legal and attend a show this Sunday. The show is over 100 miles away on twisting country roads and should the weather turn I would prefer both headlamps to be in working order for the journey home.

EDIT: eBay Japanese Volvo tax examples here.

Yes, indeed. Order before 10.00am and told it will be here later today , around 4pm. We will send a text when in. They never fail to do so.

Battery hold down clamp for the 850 is another 'rare item' £13 on eBay, £24 on Amazon and if you're tight like me you'll get one from Volvo for around £5.50...
