Default Heated rear window relay location

Hi. I have 1991 240 Estate Automatic RHD and am trying to replace the heated rear window relay. I have a Volvo OEM relay, I've looked at all the diagrams/pictures on the internet, have removed the glovebox together with the underdash felt and plastic central console fairings and can't see it anywhere! Can someone please, in simple layman's terms, tell me or send a diagram showing me EXACTLY where it is? Also, now whenever the ignition is on the tailgate wiper is on and I can't turn it off at the switch (I wouldn't mind but I haven't disconnected anything)! HELP!

Do you have a wiring fault where the cable goes through the tailgate hinges, very common! Mine is rewirered from under the headlining.

I was wondering that but I only had the loom replaced in mid 2021 and only done 5K miles max since. I'll have to drop the Volvo specialist who did it a line and see what they suggest. Thank you.

My screen heater only works intermittently because when the wiring loom was replaced, the earth wire between the two halves of the hinge had broken and wasn't reconnected. I think the earthing works through the lock sometimes, hence occasional function. It's one of those little jobs which I should have had done years ago!

A quick test with a 12v bulb and a couple of wires should help to trace a fault:~
At the rear screen connect one wire to a descent earth and the other to one of the fine heater wires, screen heater on - the bulb should light up.
Bob.

Hayes manual for the 200 series 1974- 1993 show the relay behind the glove box :~ could be accessible by removing the felt/side trims?
