You were asking regards auto unlock rather than autolock weren't you...????

Think the idea is that when the driver gets out, all other doors remained locked so someone in the street cannot whip a rear door open and steal anything out of the car and run off, or attack someone, or worse if you have a child there.

switch auto lock off then... as for the clan comment ,he's very good at helping people out so i think its uncalled for to be honest

I've asked this same question in Portuguese Volvo Owners Forum and i'd like to give my opinion here.

Beyond what was already said, new Volvos have a configuration regarding unlocking the car with key fob. two option allowed:
1 press unlock all doors or
1 press unlock drivers door, 2nd press unlock all other

I think the unlock inside car could be configured too. Something like "Open drivers door unlock all doors? Yes/No".

In this site http://www.volvotech.eu/cfe is refered "Auto unlock all doors when driver door is openend" as a possible configuration with VIDA PRO.
Anyone can check/test this?

I didn't know there was a version of Vida PRO?
I am tempted to pick up a vida for the new V40, however I have messaged before on here and have been met with negative views regarding warranty etc.. (As the car logs everytime a vida is used)

I''m not sure if it is VIDA or VIDA Dice (software and/or hardware).
PRO version I guess is refered to paied version and up to date official informations.

I've read somewhere PRO version allows changing values.
