Vida Dice and the new V40

Any point of getting one.

Do we have a open vida sw image that will work with these cars.

Is anything worth changing that can not be done via the cars controls and config in "My Car"

I take it, software upgrades like the Cruise Control Module can not be installed this way?

I'll try and check tomorrow, but I think anything after 2012D works, think I am running a 2013 version.

Works fine, there are some normal recalibrate stuff on the software, but you can't do stuff like cruise and add ons. They need the software download from Volvo with you have to buy from a dealer. Then you'd need a legit version to update the car.

Not sure if it would work out much cheaper paying for 24hrs VIDA access, buying the SW part and flashing yourself.

I would like to leave my lights switch on Auto, but don't want the side lights on (They look stupid with the DLR's and sidelights, yellow and white)

I wouldn't touch it whilst its still in warranty, your car stores the last time it was plugged in and flashes up the previous read out, so when the dealer plugs it in they will see it has been plugged in before and then wonder who has been messing with it!

I have vida dice 2014 it will do the new v40 tho don't have that car to try it but my s60 and v70 both show the previous read out when plugged back in with the date and time
