Default Delay in sound from HK audio system

So, this question has been asked on the Volvo V40 forums but there appears to be no answer so thought I would ask here to see if anyone has experienced the same problem and found a solution.

Basically when the car hasn't been used for a while (say overnight) there is quite a significant delay (2+ minutes usually) from starting the car to hearing any audio output from any source. Yet when say getting back in the car at the end of a shift (after 12 hours) it plays straight away. I appreciate this isn't a huge problem but surely isn't normal and is slightly annoying.

Also when I alter the surround sound settings, next time I start the car up they have returned to default? any thoughts?

Thanks

Does this include sounds from reversing sensors and other warning sounds? If so then this has to be a safety issue and should be corrected by Volvo as the previous poster has suggested. I would not think this is something you are doing or which you will be able to sort out.

This does indeed affect the parking sensors too. Thanks both for the advice, I'll contact my dealer and ask to get it checked out

I had the same problem this winter.
I received my car (with HK) in February, and practically every morning, I had no sound when I started my car.
This spring I had no this problem, except when the temperature was low.
I thus think that it is linked to the temperature of the electronic components of the HK system.
