Map updates
Ok so I get complimentary map updates...great
Email received telling me I will receive DVDs soon....but reading instructions it says the update could that up to 5 hours.......and ending need a to running...WHAT? Does it really take that long? Think I can update in bits but not sure? Anyone gone through this process before? |

Yes, it can take that long (and does). You can do it in bits, it'll resume where it left off.
You cannot do it with the engine off, unless you turn the sensus system back on every 15 minutes (it turns off automatically - battery saving feature, I guess). |

Just to clarify it will update with the engine off, but the Sensus system has to be on. Problem is that Sensus switched itself off after 15 minutes if the engine's not running.
Going off last year's update, the UK maps were on disk 2 and I was able to use sat nav for UK navigation after disk 2 was complete. |

Hi , I have four of these discs which i haven't looked at properly as yet , so you say only a couple may apply to me in the UK , would I need to still install all four anyway?
