Volvo Map Updates

Hello out there ,
Just received 4 new CD map updates from Volvo. There seems to be a lot of rules and regs written in the literature and 'we are not to blame' if things go wrong. Has anyone out there successfully updated their own maps using these CDs. Four CDs will take four hours to input with the engine running while doing so?

Just ignition on , you would need a battery charger connected to keep it going .. BUT You can do it whilst driving around , when you stop it ill remember where it is and carry on when you start driving again .
Anyone tried the USB Map updates from model 2014.5 onwards , 17 gb of data ?

Yes, downloaded from the site, stuck usb pen in car, allowed to update over various short journeys automatically.
