Unhappy "Alarm"ing issues!

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a 1996 Volvo 850SE, When I bought the car the central locking did not work, the guy I bought it off told me the previous owner took the fuse out for the alarm after he had some issues with it. I had a crack at getting the alarm working and after fitting new batteries to one of the fobs it worked! Then I successfully managed to sync the other fob using the ignition trick.

The problem now is I locked my car using the FOB last night, and when I came to the car it wouldn't unlock with the fob. I tried the other fob and had no luck either. Unlocking the car with the key sets the alarm off (So I have removed the fuse for now so I can use the car) But now I am back to having no remote locking or central locking. Is there any way I can dissarm the alarm so I can use the central locking without the key fob again? I can't try re-syncing the alarm fobs because as soon as I turn the key the alarm goes off and the car is immobilized .

Also whilst taking the fuse out for the alarm I panicked and took the fuse out for the radio... which is now asking for a code I don't have. Today has been a bad day

Any help on either subject would be great.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the essay!

Michael.

Hello,
I notice you have posted in the radio codes section but read this link and phone Rufe:

As for the alarm forum user 'scutyde' is great on the 850 alarms.
As you rightly say the fuse for the alarm controls the central locking too.
Cheers

Thanks for the info buddy, still no progress on my alarm issues though. Has anyone got any ideas? having no central locking is a real pain also means my interior lights don't work properly.
