5th Gear Jumping
Hi
I got my R 98 V40 2Li CD two days ago. I think it needs something doing to the rear suspension as it is extremely low at the back! I understand that this is a common thing but it appears lower than it should be! More importantly, I have read some posts about the M5P gearbox and the problem with 5th gear. I think I need to check the carter nut. Can anyone give me instructions for this step by step as I believe it can be done without removing the gearbox from the car. I have changed all the bushes and it is BETTER but still does it sometimes. I want it to be solved properly. The front and rear engine mounts have been changed, i don't think the side ones have. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Also, wheres best to get interior parts from like door handles and knobs as volve want like £12 each!! I want to enjoy happy motoring in my volvo but need it to be GREAT....WHOOP!! |
