Default Seat question

Are the seat bases the same in the front? My drivers side one is really bad now, as have done far too many Kms, Can I just swap it for the passenger side one? They are heated as well. They are fabric in the middle with leather edges. The seat cushion/pad seems really expensive for what it is.
Does anybody have a write up on doing it please, do you have to take the seats completly out to swop them over?
Regards John

yes they are the same and you can just swap them.. yes you need to take the seats out first... remove the seat.. turn it upside down.. remove the securing clips.. whole base can then be removed... its a fairly easy job and once you have the seat removed it will all become apparent... to remove the seat once you have removed the 4 bolts from the runners you have to slide the whole seat and runners back and then tilt sometimes takes a bit of fiddling about as there is also a keyhole type fixing on both sides (undersides of runners)

Default Er - belt up.

Some have the seat belt latching attached to the seat. They are handed. Also the backrest adjustments are handed. And the electric controls on electric seats are handed.
