Default The V50 Parking Light Bulb

I have a set of w5w phillips bluemotion i thnk it is to replace my parking light bulb

A nice match to my nightbreakers for the main bulb

on a MY08 V50 D5

now replacing the main headlight were easy - but when i took out the main light assembly and turned the cap on top off to ........... according to the manual just pop out n replace my side light, parking light bulb ..............

oh my god - no obvious easy pull out and replace - lots in the way - and i was reluctant to pull on cables not knowing what i am doing!

Is there a tool? Is ther ea video on youtube? I have been searching - bit swapping the Parking Light bulb on my V0 so far seems like a nightmare!!!

Any tips - thanks

If you are talking about the small side light bulbs, then it is a matter of reaching in with some long nose pliers and trying to grip the back of the bulb holder and they just pull out. Bit fiddly but just push the other wires to one side and you should be ok!

Just replaced mine with LEDs, I could just about grasp the bulb holder in both (small hands) but one was a tighter fit requiring the long nose pliers to get it out. Push straight back in. Don't pull on the wires, it would be a bitch to fix!

I also need to replace a duff sidelight on my 08 facelift V50 but the fitting inside the light appears to be 2 wires soldered to the back of the sidelight fitting, it appears to be a led sidelight, the manual says led on the swivel h/l but i wonder are they led on the 08 halogen h/l.

I just had another go at mine and used a slim screwdriver to flip the bulbholder and out it came, it was easy to replace with the new bulb.
