No indicator flashing on remote locking, door insecure
I have a 2007 facelift P3 V70. When I use the remote control to lock it, the indicators do not flash. I have checked the settings in the menu and have also tried the bonnet-slamming technique, to no avail. Also, sometimes when I have locked the car remotely, the driver's door remains unlocked, although the button is down and the alarm is set and goes off if open it. This is an intermittent fault. From other posts on this forum, I suspect that I may need a new door lock, but any other advice welcome. If I do need new lock, any idea of the approximate cost?

It could be the door lock you need. It could also be that some wires between the car body and the door are damaged, so that the control signa doesn't pass through properly.

Thanks - hadn't considered the wiring. Is there any way to check that without ripping the door to bits?

It's difficult to repair without removing the door, which in turn isn't too complicated, provided you are two persons.
But inspecting can be done with the door in place, with some success. |
