Default Alloy Wheels

I am thinking of having my wheels restored. A friend of mine looked into having his Lexus wheels done, and was told as they were 'Diamond Cut' they couldn't do them. Forgive my ignorance, but what are diamond cut wheels? And will my S40 wheels be diamond cut?

Further to the last message, the rear tyres are down to 3mm tread and have small cracks forming on the side wall. The tyres are about five years old, so should I change them now? My garage usually rotate the tyres around, but I don't really like the ideas of these on the front!

YES!! Don't mess around with tyres. If you think what tyres do, propel your car at high speed, giving stability, manoeuvrability, improve braking distances, sometimes urgently, tyres are the one thing that should not be pushed to the limit. I don't say go and spend £200 per tyre but if your tread is down that low and the walls are cracking then the time has come to get your wallet out, painful though that can be.
