Volvo reliability
Hi I asked an on line motoring journalist about the Volvo V40 Cross Country as I was thinking of buying one.
He cameback with this reply Thanks for your email. The Volvo V40 uses different automatic transmissions depending on which engine they are paired to, but they all use a torque converter rather than a dual clutch arrangement. Volvo finished 14th overall in the Honest John Satisfaction Survey, but the V40 actually made it into the top ten for the least reliable cars in the survey, and also made it into the list of cars with the lowest owner satisfaction. Ends. Any members agree or disagree with the response on satisfaction. Cheers |

Have a look at the owners reviews for the v40 on Parkers and similar sites. Real people - some good, some not so good reviews. Just like any make and model.
I'd just make sure you have a makers warranty if used for the first year of ownership. https://www.parkers.co.uk/volvo/v40/owner-reviews/ |
