Default Check your Tracking?

Just an advisory word for anyone with a 'new' shape S40 or V50.
It would seem that this chassis, as shared with the new model Focus and C-Max, has a habit of loosing the tracking over a time, resulting in front tyre wear on the INSIDE edges.
Just had my front tyres replaced (24,000 not too bad) because of inside edge wear. Identical problem with my wife's C-Max at almost the same mileage.
Local tyre factor's fitter said that they had noticed this tracking problem on a number of Focusses (Focii?).
Not a major problem, but just a thought for any owners out there, might pay to get a free track check.

Had to have mine reset after the bent wheels were replaced - the insurance centre cocked it up, the tyre place couldn't get it right - it's worth going to the dealer for this - they were the only place that got it spot on and it drove like a different car. It's quite easy to tell if it's out, the car seems to get very tail happy.

Default Is there a solution?

Can the issue of excessive inner wear of tyres be fixed?

I have Yokohama C-Drives on the front of a 04 V50 T5 which have done 9000km and have excessive wear on the inside. My mechanic has said they have about another 5000km before they will need replacing.

Why did the original P7 last 80,000km with fairly even wear?

The tyre service centre have said that they can do nothing about the problem.

Worn edges to tyres may not be down to tracking on it's own, worn suspension bushes, ball joints etc can all cause excessive wear to the tyres so a car with 80k on it could be needing more than tracking alone.
