Just beacuse you have some code for the Mass Airflow Meter doesnt necessarily mean it is faulty , it means the measured air flow doesnt correspond with the calculated air flow , so you may have an air leak somewhere . Don't waste £250 buying a new one until you have proved it faulty ..

A few days ago I unplugged the Maf and the Car Ran the same ....So i guess this means the Maf is Knakered ??

Unless there is another way to confirm the Maf as faulty?

The normal way is to compare the flow reading at idle usualy measured in Kg/hr of air and compare it to the specifications . But that needs a volvo computer live reading of course .
unstable idle speed is usualy a dirty throttle housing and flap not letting enough air past in the idle position ...

I suppose i could get my mate to Smoke test the car for any leaks?

I Can get hold of a used Maf for about £35, If this doesen't do the job I will go down the ETM and Housing Clean route !

Did a Throttle clean on my old V70..Took me about 4 hours !!!

normally someone like me charges 50-60 quid for full diagnostic. don't know how much you have already spent but I'm guessing have paid already about 50 for code reading. every single thing you try to guess cost you another money and your time.
last time had a person who already ordered ETM, but after i have done ETM software update his car works fine. few hundreds saved....
don't treat my post like advert, just some facts.
