As always - Wonderful; but I still can't help thinking that motor car is going to be far too good to drive anywhere :-).

She’ll get well used. She’ll be super rust proofed so hopefully she'll last another 50years. I’m not into showing cars, they all get used and the Amazon will get well used. As I explained to a painter, it needs to be done properly so the car can cope with the British weather without worrying.

A bit of work on the Amazon over the weekend. Front wheel bearings need replacing, thought they would be okay but there are scores on the outer races and rollers. Also need a new set of bushes for the shocks.

Yep, I had to lift it up by myself and would of scratched the paint otherwise getting it in position. Pointless painting then just scratching it when fitting up.

The front wheel bearings arrived today so I fitted them and the brake hubs to the car. They both spin lovely.

Checked runout, maximum specified is 0.1mm or 4thou in old money. Mine was 0.02mm so all good. Replaced the shock bushes, gave the shocks a clean and fitted them and the rear springs. Will tighten the suspension up properly when the car is on it’s wheels.
