Default My New 131

I bought my mate’s 131 and I’m down in England picking up the parts and will transport her back up to Scotland in Feb. My mate has owned the car for over 20 years. She’s a genuine original rust free car with new front panel, wings and a load of other spares as well. Suspension and engine have been rebuilt, bolts etc have been zinc plated. The car is apart and needs painting and reassembling. I will epoxy prime the whole car, stone chip the bottom and then topcoat the whole car except the A surfaces. The A surfaces will get painted once the car is back together.

Will try and do a build thread, will see how I go. Video of the car as it is currently; https://youtu.be/UatkrUYLCH4

Looks like a nice starting place. However, now that you have honed all your rust repair skills I predict that it is going to be too easy if it really is rust free. This might be a more appropriate 'next level' skill challenge.

Something that would get you past the end of the pandemic before it is finished.

It makes for a nice change. Should be a nice restoration and the car deserves a proper job. I painted all of the suspension components previously for my mate so that is all done.

Now look here, dear fellow, life is kinda short an we need cars now that we can drive an enjoy, before the joyless DVLA deprives us of our licences. Suggesting one of the cars in your link to us, even to one so skilled as Buredkin, is oh ****, god help me sort of stuff. Howmsoever, carry on!
