Default XC60 R Design Swap Seats

Hi,

I have a Volvo XC60 R Design 2018 and absolutely love the car, with one exception…

The R Design seats although very comfy really dig into my leg and you seem to sit on top of the bolsters rather than sitting between them. (Though this might be my big bum!)

So my question is two fold.

1. Any recommendations for adjustments for making the seats more comfy I have tried as many positions as possible.

2.If all else fails how hard is it to strip out all the seats and replace with a set from eBay like the inscription seats?

Feedback would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Unfortunately the Inscription seats are no better but a lot of people find them comfortable but I am afraid it’s impossible to swap the seats over as we have asked to swap ours for the Momentum seats but were told this was not possible.

Why? Who said impossible? They will have the same mounting points and I would expect the same wiring harness connectors so I would be interested in the technical reason they can't be swapped.

Volvo say it’s impossible as asked to change ours and I know someone else had tried as well.

This is all very sad news! But I appreciate the replies

Anyone had any experience with the Volvo seat cover, might be worth purchasing that to see it it increases comfort at all.

Are Volvo saying it is impossible because they can't purchase a set of Inscription or Momentum seats and don't want to fit second hand sourced parts?

They say it’s impossible as the seat type that was installed at the factory can’t be changed to another type ie you can’t put momentum seats in to replace Inscription seats. I offered to buy new seats but they said the only option was to buy a Momentum spec car and spec it up to match our Inscription which only having our car for 6 months was going to cost another £5,000 so I declined and we bought some gel cushions to sit on. Someone else was told the same and he sold his 60 and bought a Mercedes.

Of course just because a Volvo dealer says it is impossible doesn't necessarily mean it is impossible. It just means they don't want to do it (for whatever reason).

Now of course it could be impossible (well maybe impractical - not much is impossible) or it could be entirely feasible.
