Default Charge light won't go out!

Hi all,

Just the facts after a few months on the drive I went for a shake down in Greta, I noticed that the charge and brake warning lights were very dim put a voltmeter to the battery 9volts.

Replaced the alternator now 13.6volts but the charge and brake warning light is on bright.

Any idea why or what to check next I have replaced the female spade terminal to the alternator as the original was well corroded.

Regards

Scott

Hi All,

All sorted an excellent example of just because there is only one spade terminal it doesn't mean it's the correct terminal.

On the replacement alternator the spade terminal was a tacho feed and the warning light was an M5 threaded post.

Regards

Scott
