Abs-0121
Error code. Anti skid service required. Anti skid temporarily off.
Volvo XC90 d5 54 plate. Showing code ABS-0121. Yaw rate sensor. Signal outside it’s permitted range. No water damage under seat. It’s happened twice now. Couple months apart. Last time I cleared and it’s been fine since then. At that time I checked under the driver seat and found what I believe to be the yaw rate sensor. Nothing obvious. Appeared again today. Thoughts? |

Yaw sensor has only power and CAN bus going to it
So if it is alive and talking and reporting signal out of range, it can only be the yaw sensor itself which is faulty. Try a recalibration first, otherwise replace it.

Thanks for reply.
Can I calibrate it without Vida? If I replace it, are they interchangeable between cars if I purchase the same part number. Or would a new one require calibration as well? |

Any yaw sensor you install regardless of where you got it will need calibration When replacing, fit only the part numbers recommended for your vehicle according to VIDA. If you want to get a 2nd hand one, always get one with the same part number. I believe they are not coded to the vehicle, but please confirm this by reading the VIDA replacement instructions.

Ok. I’ll have a search around near me to see who can perform a recalibration
Thanks again |
