Retro fit Bluetooth for V50
I’ve just got delivery of a Bluetooth music and handsfree device for my 2004 v50 that plugs in to the inside of my CD changer it was easy to install with the YouTube video. I’m really impressed with it and recommend to anyone who has a compatible stereo. You can get a model that works if you have an aux mode or just a CD or multichanger like mine. I can bin my old FM transmitter one, at last no more interference when I’m playing my music through it and with the microphone when someone rings me they can hear me thanks to the microphone that comes with it that I managed to mount next to the interior light console.

Just so I understand this correctly:
1) I can still listen to CD's if I do not have a device connected to the Bluetooth adapter. 2) If I have a device connected to the Bluetooth adapter I then hear the audio from the connected device but I need to keep the CD playing for it to work. Sounds like an almost perfect solution.

Sounds like a decent solution. Typical for me to come across this now I no longer have a Volvo.

Yes, you need a CD playing for the device to work but if your phone is not connected you can play your CDs as normal. I’ve just done a long drive to Cornwall in convoy and the device really helped in both keeping me in contact with the other car via handsfree and keeping me entertained with my tunes. Couldn’t recommend this device enough it brings a modern creature comfort to an older car.

I did send the seller a question but got no reply. If I fit this will the music controls on the steering wheel allow me to skip though music tracks on my MP3 player (iPhone)? The description is a little bit vague and I am not sure if the 'steering wheel support' refers to music control or phone control.

There is an add on for steering wheel support, but its not yet available. If you keep tabs on the seller it'll let you know when they are in stock.
