Default Transmission Performance Low info

Just thought I would share what happened to my V50 after I had the powershift oil changed. It was done by an independant local garage. Drove it home afterwards with no problems. Next day went to the vets and the car gave a 'kick' and the dreaded message 'transmission performance low' message came up, car wouldn't go above 4th gear. After about six miles I stopped in traffic and on trying to move again I lost all drive. Wouldn't move back or forward. Switched the engine off for a few minutes after which I started the car and the message had gone and the car was OK. After another few miles it went again but was still drivable. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I took the car back to the garage and the next day they phoned me to say that all was now well. What they should have done (and did after I took it back) was enter a code to tell the system that the oil change had been done. After doing that it now drives OK again. Just thought I would share this bit of info which might help someone in the future.

Cheers

Brian

Luckily for you it was a simple fix.
