Default Refuel Issues

Can't refuel the car without constant clicking off...its getting a bit annoying...

Has been doing it since I have had the car, S60 2008.

There are a total of three pipes between the refuel cap and the tank.

1, the thicker one carrying the fuel.
2, a vent that has a 180 degree pipe attached to the end, assuming this is a permanents breather.

Have gently checked these are clear with a rod.

The third has a large tube in it which I am assuming contains some kind of one way valve for venting during refuels. It goes from the tank and finishes internally to the top of the filler neck.

It's hopefully in the picture attached. Does anyone know what it actually is? This isn't my one its a photo taken from eBay.

Much as it will cause some debate I am contemplating removing whatever this is...

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Other than that the car is ace!!!

This thread might be useful - https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=334608

My car (2022 V60 T6) is currently at the dealership for the 3rd time for this issue.

As with your car, mines causes the petrol pump to click off roughly every 4 litres when refueling.

They have booked my car in for the full week. I'm not sure they actually know what the issue is.

Once I have the car back I will let you know the outcome

If it's a 2008 then you're in the wrong forum; you may get more success in https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/forum...sprune=-1&f=19 although I don't recall that being flagged as a frequent problem. Also you don't say whether it's petrol or diesel.

Having said that I've had/have several P2 (MY2002 through to MY2008) D5s and never had a problem with filling them, except for the very occasional oversensitive pump or very frothy fuel. Filling my D4 SPA car is, however, very different but again not to the point of being a problem, well not yet anyway!
