V70 t is a light pressure turbo, T5 is full pressure.

I have the V70 t after previously having the T5. Its a little slower overall, but quicker off the mark, softer sprung and slightly cheaper on fuel and insurance

Why do people say that the "T" is quicker off the mark than the T5. My T5 batters most cars on the road off the line, struggles a little in first but hook second and its off like fook.

Only thing i can think of is the "T" doesnt overwhelm the tyres in first gear like the T5 does.

Yeah, they can hardly be anything in them at all. Once pressure is reached in the T5 theres not much on the road that touch them.

The t5 has a bit more turbo lag when you first set off but after a few yards its a rocket.

Yeah I agree its quicker once the turbo comes in, but that's the point - you have to wait a few tenths longer for that boost.

In general the T5 is faster, but it should be with the extra power

I expect the newer T5 is probably better than the 2.3 I had anyway, not to mention it having 180k on it...
