tyres sealant

Hi having had my 2005 C70 convertable converted to autogas im somewha tworried about punctures. I was provided with a tin of tyreweld from the conversion company but have had bad expeiences in the past.

I have been told of a tyre sealant treatment which is professionlly injected and helps prevent punctures and in the event of one occuring seals it instantly. has any one had any experiences of these types of sealant?,
and know of where i could get it done? im in Maidenhead Berks.

or should i just consider run flat tyres?

I understand that run-flats can give a hard ride.

some consideration a while ago. I think their website will point you to technical help in your vicinity if the product is not completely DIY.

I took it no further than an enquiry 'cos, on enquiry, I was led to understand that on a high mileage car, worn suspension components can lead to vibration in an otherwise vibration free steering system. I think it hints at potential for that somewhere in their website, too - which led me to ask the specific question. At 150,000+ miles it was an issue for me - perhaps not for your car. Also, a couple of tyre fitters I have spoken to over time say they hate that sort of messy stuff and if a car came to them with the stuff in 4 tyres needing renewal they'd tell the prospective customer to take their business elsewhere. (I don't believe they actually would and, of course, they would say that, wouldn't they?) Besides this particular product claims to be water soluble, rinse out, not 'gluey' etc...

I would certainly have tried the stuff except for the risk of steering vibration issue.
