Default Tyre sizes

Hi all

Need to replace my two front tyres on my S40 medusa wheels on researching seems a lot of people opt for using 225/40/18 rather than 215/45/18 due to this being a more common size of tyre.
Would just putting these on the front and having the standard on the rear cause any issues?
Obviously checking with insurance beforehand goes without saying

Cheers

Dave

I would have thought this would not be recommended.

My thought process here - completely my own:

Changes the rake of the car, which in turn changes the weight distribution, which will change the handling and wear rate.

I have 225/40r18 on mine with no problem. Dont think they look tall enough so going to try 235's next. So yeah, no actual problem, the do feel slighlty crashier over bumps though
