Default New volvo s60 owner experiencing issues

Hi,

Im enjoying my first volvo but experiencing issues.

S60 t5 52reg 80k miles with full service history.

Abs light is on and vida says that there is likely cem fault and its not able to connect.

I have soldered the abs unit but that made no difference.

Had cem out and it looks all dry and theres no visual sign of any damage. Circuit board is coated with transparent red sealer so cant test any components without removing the seal.

I have read that volvo cem is very sensitive to voltage. Vida says that theres only 11.8v on standby and 14.2v when running. I have read about faulty voltage regulators causing all sorts of issues...

Does anyone have any recommendations on next steps? Any help much appreciated.

Also delphi did manage to connect and read codes P0571 brake switch citcuit A and P0504 brake switch A however it was playing up while connecting to the car.

I had a BCM-CEM communication error due to a CEM relay on my 2003, but it didn't threw any lights https://youtu.be/HQxxg_vNDI4
I also got a bad ABS sensor when I pulled on the wire to remove the sensor from the wheel spindle

Also check your driveshaft bolts, if either of these are loose then the driveshaft can move in and out causing an ABS fault

14v should mean the alternator is charging fine. To see how the battery does, drive it then park with the battery disconnected - if you lock the car the alarm may start ringing, then measure the battery 1h later

Yes alternator is fine. Just bought the battery so its fine too. Just not sure about the voltage regulator. Do we know where it is located?

I will take a look at the driveshaft bolts just in case. Would that affect the bcm so much that it stops odometer?

Car drives solid. No wobbles of any kind even on the track at top speed

Reversing sensors are only other thing thats not working. Car is doing a distorted beep when reverse is selected (used to be silent) but thats it. Saw somewhere that its possible to switch the sensors off in the boot but couldnt find anything obvious
