Default P1549 code

Can anyone help with this ?
I have a Volvo C30 2litre petrol (2011) that is coughing and spluttering under acceleration. I have read the codes with my little Bluetooth scan tool, and it threw up code p1549 , which is for the intake manifold communication control circuit.
Having googled this it suggests that the most likely culprit is the intake manifold temperature control valve. The problem I have is that I can’t find the damn thing!
Normally it would be on the air box or the rubber hose leading to it, but there is nothing.
Any help would be appreciated 😊

In case this helps anyone in the future, it turns out that the intake manifold temperature is dealt with by the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor) , commonly known as the boost pressure sensor . This is located behind the front bumper which may well have to be removed to allow access to the sensor .

However, I read the codes again with the engine running (having previously done it with just the ignition on) and this time I got a code for a faulty ignition coil. Which is precisely what I thought was wrong with it in the first place before I even looked the thing! It is far more likely that this is what is causing it to run so poorly .
