Default interior light

hi all
had our v70 for a few onths now and apart from the drivers lock not opening on the fob and locking you in when you close it and 2 new bulbs, it hasn't missed a beat. just a quick question about the interior light, can it be turned off so to not come on when the door is opened?
i the trouble is when the baby is asleep in the back if i get out the light comes on. i know you can turn them off with the button on the roof but if my wife then gets out it comes back on. it is just a bit irritating and reminds me of our old old corsa b where you couldn't turn the damn light off at all with the door open.

Not sure if you can stop the lights coming on when the doors are open, but there is a link that you can look at to try and cure the doors locking all the time (my S60 does it). I'll try and locate it for you. Is that a private reg on your car? It should be a 'W' reg i would say.

Try holding down the interior light button for about 10 seconds. This works on my S60, which I would expect to be similar to your V70!

hi thanks for the replies i'll try resetting the uem tomorrow see if that helps and try the button for light as well. as for the reg, its not private, I thought the p2 started at w but from a post I did when I joined it is one of the first ever. it's also got the 2.5 diesel Audi engine. I'mreally pleased with the car the heard seats have been great lol and the 7 seats get the kids further away lol

thanks for the tip about the 10 second press its worked a treat. as for door lock ressetting the uem didn't help. after reading some other posts I'm guessing it must be the micro switch in the drivers door unit. too much going on so i'll have the door.to bits in the new year.
