Default disaster or opportunity?

Took delivery 10 mins ago. First impression of exterior...Wow. First impression of interior...erm that's not the interior I ordered!

Ordered black/beige but all black has arrived. I really wanted the two tone so beige matched headlining.

I don't want to wait another 15 weeks and it still looks good but thinking there could be an opportunity here. Do you think I could get dealer to offer rear-seat entertainment....?

It is their mistake, they should give you something significant in return.

Alternatively, a loan car until your properly spec'd car arrives.

Two tone will look 'so 1970's'.

Best go for something extra, maybe scuff plates, illuminated insteps, mudguards, the list is endless.

Default Only you can answer this.

It really depends on how much you want the two-tone. I ordered the beige with beige and wouldn't have accepted anything else (however impractical it may turn out to be) - but I'd put the problem in the dealer's court - you could get cash back, get your rear entertainment or get a loaner - maybe two of those if you're cheeky!

As I was informed by my dealer this is the dealers fault, they have entered the incorrect code for the interior. Don't let them blame Volvo !!

I guess its everyones biggest fear. Mention this forum, its surprising what they could do knowing the following of this place; word of mouth is a positive resource.

If you really really want that interior then have no choice but to reject it and wait. The negtiation then begins in earnest as to how the dealer can rectify their mistake, could they loan you a car for the 10-15 weeks wait?

The only thing they can add are dealer fit options so you have a relatively limited choice. You could go for something expensive like the Garmin 765 and doesn't cost them 650 like the brochure says.

Default no it is a disaster

Never mind the interior. Car has broken down after only 40 miles. Have been recovered and currently sitting in a dealership waiting on news. 2 x engine warning lights came on and car could not get above 20 mph. Think its the turbo but not confirmed. Not a good day.
