Have got rear parking sensors on my 2002 v70 D5, they are a volvo fit item.
when i put the car into reverse all i get is a constant tone. the paint is flaking off the sensors, could this be causing the problem ? what is the best way to clean the paint off the sensors ? thanks neil |

It could be a bad sensor, try engaging reverse with the key in position 2 engine off and lightly placing your finger on each sensor, you should feel a sort of clicking/pulsating if they're working correctly. To get the paint off, I suppose something like white spirit??
