Default DAB loss of most stations?

Anybody else lost most UK radio stations on DAB?

Many have just switched off DAB to “DAB+” I’ve read. Presumably my 2018 xc90 is not the + version? Only BBC stations remain (for the moment?). Any workarounds or software upgrades or do radios only have a 6-7 year life cycle before needing to be upgraded?!

I had a post about this a couple of days ago , the 2016 V60 ( old model) is DAB+ compatible so I'm sure your new model would be too. Have a close read of all the audio information in the owner's handbook and any supplement you got, ( the 2016 model had 2 extra audio supplements )

Have you tried a re-tune where the set scans for new stations ?

Definitely should still be working. This is either a settings issue or a fault in either the software or DAB module.

I'd perhaps try a factory reset of the Sensus system before going to a dealer.

Haven't fitted a dashcam have you and caused interference with the wiring to the sharkfin antenna?

On an XC90 (and I assume other SPA cars) the DAB and FM aerials are printed on the rear nearside glass. The sharks fin has the GPS aerial and wifi and cellular antennas.

(There is also a backup cellular antenna as part of the SOS system in case the external antenna is damaged in an accident.)

But to echo your point, some dashcams to cause DAB interference.

As do some phone chargers. If I plug in the phone charger to the 12v accessory socket in the motorhome, then the radio just turns to crackle then fruitlessly seeks the entire frequency range and finds nothing.

Thanks for replies. Not interference but thanks for suggestions. In UK, Classic, Capital and Virgin say they switched off original DAB last few weeks and only on DAB+ and older DAB radios won’t receive anymore. BBC and some others still available. Will continue to look at a “retune” or speak to dealer/Volvo UK after new year.

Cheers all.

The Capital Radio group that also broadcast Classic have helpfully told me I should recycle my old car radio and buy a newer one that has DAB+….. nice.

So are we saying that a 2018 SPA car does not have Dab+?

Not according to the Volvo online spec https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support...a801512233debe
I retuned one of my profiles very recently and received Classic FM as well as all the BBC broadcasts
