200 Series General Forum for the Volvo 240 and 260 cars

Information
  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

So following on from this, the glue I’ve used has worked exceptionally well - way better than epoxy

To give them some extra support I wanted to make something that protects for when people use their leg to stop the door closing on this long area




I designed a brace and working with a friend, printed it into a white prototype








Once I was happy I had a pair printed in black to match the car








In the end I changed the orientation so that bottles fitted in better

It’s attached by double sided tape



This allows it to stay in position but I’ve designed it to be a tight fit






I’ve also designed it to be used for either side of the car

Thoughts?
