Default V70R dashboard lights dim

The dashboard bulbs on my 2004 V70R seem very dim and I am contemplating replacing them with LED's so that I can see the lovely blue dials better at night.
Any recommendations of the best to use please?
The dimmer switch seems to be working fine by the way.
I will also need to replace the dashboard light for the front fog lights as well, this doesn't come on at all. The fog lights work ok.

I have a 2004 R and it's already got LED illumination on the dash clocks.

These cars will dim the cluster depending on the outside light level. Try covering up the 'twilight' sensor with your hand and seeing if the brightness changes at all.

I believe this is located on the backside of the rearview mirror. If not, it's the little bump in the center of the dash under the windscreen.

I find my cluster is a little bit too dim just as the sun begins to set. Once it gets dark enough it brightens up.

If it's dim all the time, it's possible that your sensor has gone bad.

As for the foglight indicator on the dash. There is only supposed to be an indicator for the rear fog. The button underneath the headlight switch should illuminate for the front fogs.
