A question about V70 Rotors
I own a Volvo V70 station wagon and I got just got my Volvo Rotors replaced a yesterday. When i picked up my car from the mechanic on the same day, i wasn't able to see the changes made because I was quite in a hurry. I have not seen anything wrong with the work. But when I checked it today, I saw that my car's right rotors were the only one replaced. When i phoned my mechanic, he said that the left rotors were still okay so he didn't replace it. But I think otherwise.
What do you guys think? I'm quite a newbie on mechanics so i need your expert opinion on this. Thanks in advance! |

Hi Dean you should always replace tyres, suspension or brakes, in new pairs,
it would be dangerous not too, Gary.

I always thought that Rotors was wot a helicopter had to get if to fly.
I reckon you'll have a hell of a job getting a V70 off the ground with those. Disc brake discs however should always be replaced in pairs or you get the probability of unever braking distribution from side to side, and pulling to, one side when under heavy braking. I always understood that the brake discs were only sold in pairs, and that the pairs were machined from the same 'cast' of metal as well, in case of minute friction characteristic differences between different 'casts' of metal.

Rotors as every one knows as you mentioned are brake discs in english. Rotors in english are as described as the blades of a helicopter. I find it all very funny different the use of different terms.
