XC70 Detachable Tow Bar Question

Hi there,

I have a 2005 xc70 and am looking for a detachable tow bar (all fittings and electrics are present). Annoyingly it didn't come with the detachable part when I purchased it, so I am looking for one just like in the image I have attached below.

My question is which angle detachable bars are compatible, as I understand there are various differences in angles for each car.

I have already made a mistake and purchased one as it looked similar. It was off an s80 and although it was compatible in terms of fitting it had the wrong angle to attach a bike rack or trailer.

My reason for asking which angles and models are compatible is I haven't yet seen one where it has come off a xc70 specifically and I am looking to get the bike rack fitted in the next couple of weeks.

There is a xc60 detachable hitch I have seen for sale as well as a few v70 / xc90 ones.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I would imagine the XC70 hitch is unique to that model (and revision). The XC60 is a much more modern design and it is unlikely they would have retained the same hitch across different models. If you can find the part number of the one you need, you could go to the Volvo accessory website and look at other models to see if the numbers match.

This was the hitch from my '04 XC70 and it is completely different to the one on your picture for an '05 model.
