Default 850 can't stop alarm/immobiliser - SWEDISH 850

Hi all,
I am new to this so correct me if this has been placed in the wrong area. I have recently moved to Sweden and have just bought a car here, a Volvo 850 2.5ltr estate from 1997, with a naturally aspirated engine. It has installed, maybe from new but I'm not sure, a Cargard 950s alarm-immobiliser. I was given a key fob with it from the previous owner with four rubber buttons on it in a vertial line. I've never used it thus far, indeed I don't even know how to use it and it has been stored in the glove box up until now. I use the key to open the door and start the car. My problem is, when I recently changed the battery, on connecting the new one, the alarm went off and the car wouldn't start. I don't know the code for the key fob if there even is one, so they only way I can start and use the car is by removing fuse no. 6, which is supposedly for the central locking. Once removed I can open the doors one at a time and start and drive the car no problem. I'm assuming this fuse is also the power for the alarm as it doesn't work when removed, the red led's don't even flash on the carguard sensor inside the car. This is all very well and at least I can use it, but unfortunately I have lost my central locking too. The fuse list details fuse no. 8 as being for the immobiliser, but seems to do nothing when removed, in conjunction with no. 6 or on it's own. I have a manual with the cargard alarm, but it only details instructions on how to reset the code on the keyfob with the alarm deactivated, which I don't know how to do. In any case to reprogramme the cargard alarm I have to put the fuse back in to give it power, and then ofcourse the alarm goes off again and my neighbours and I are back to square one again. Anyone have any ideas on how to reset or even switch off the alarm completely? I don't think anyone's going to steal it, and I would rather have away with the alarm and get my central locking back. Thanking you in advance, Fraser
