which car/engine do you have? I'm sure someone will have a used one, they are pretty robust and long lasting .

Difficult to find, a scrappy would be your best bet. Bear in mind the system was used in a lot of 80s cars, it doesn't need to be a 240.

What's up with it? They are fairly straightforward and as long as the bimetal spring is intact it's probably repairable.

Clan - the second one you linked to is the correct one, but the price isn't making me happy!

Juular - it's the bimetal thingy that seems to have gone on ours.

you have an excellent chance of a used one doing the job, try and get one for the same engine as they are calibrated for the particular engine they fit regarding idle speed .
