Default DPF Pressure sensor showing 0HPA.

Hello all,

I have an issue with my DPF pressure sensor on my XC70.

It seems be showing me 0HPA on Autel and a Sootmass of 26.76G.

I have tried a new sensor and sadly still the same.

My V70 shows correct readings but sadly not my XC70.

Could this be a blocked DPF?

I took it on a 60 mile run and the content of the DPF did not change.

Any advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

(I’m also wondering is this why I can’t get my rocker to stop leaking as the pressure maybe back loading,

Thanks all,

Matthew

maybe the 2 sensor pipes are on the wrong way around despite being different sizes , you need to check the wires going to the sensor are doing what they are supposed to .

Hi
On my V50 one of the flexible pipes had perished inside the protective sleeving.(down near the hot exhaust) It was still giving a reading but very low. As it was a low reading Vida couldn't diagnose the fault and was suggesting it was an electronic (CEM)issue. Changed the pipes and all well. Worth checking the pipes for damage first as it is a cheap option. Also check the pipes are not blocked. Once you have proved they are intact it is easy to blow down each tube from the sensor end to check they are clear. I also tested mine by taking both pipes off at the sensor and putting the ends of the pipes in a glass of water. With the engine running you should get bubbles from the pipes. Higher the revs more bubbles. The deeper you can submerge the ends with bubbles still coming the higher the pressure. The pipe from the front of the DPF should have the higher pressure.

Does the soot mass increase as you Rev the engine?, 26g is nowhere near full, doesn't even activate the warning till 30g, maybe need new pressure sensor

The soot mass doesn’t seem to change.

Sensor ok as I have swapped from my V70 which I know was working ok and still is.

Will check the wiring too.

Thanks all!
