B200E injection pipes
Hello,
I've had a fuel problem with my '87 740. There was no fuel getting to the injectors. I took the fuel distributor off and the pin/ plunger was stuck. Now it's back on car, fuel comes out the 4 outlets. My problem is I took it all apart about a year ago, and replaced some pipes which cracked when moving them, but now can't remember exactly which pipe goes where. It's the cold start pipe and the connections to the inlet/outlet fuel distributor & pressure regulator pipes which are confusing me. Any help describing which pipe goes where appreciated. |

Just refit those injector hoses where they fit most naturally, there isn't any sequencing in the fuel distributor as all red blocks, whether electronic or mechanical injection are full-group or batch-fire but the K-Jet is continuous injection - i.e. fuel will flow as soon as the pressure exceeds the preset level in the innjectors and keep flowing until it drops when the ignition is switched off.

Thanks for reply
I've got the 4 pipes to cylinders sorted. When putting back manifold, the cold start pipe I'd connected from port at back of fuel distributor seems 1" too short. So I guess this pipe should be connected elsewhere. The one I was unsure of was the pipe from outlet at side of distributor, next to return pipe. I'd connected this to the pressure regulator, and had some spare length. Maybe I've got these the wrong way around. I'll take manifold off and swop pipes around and hope it fits. |
