Details of Base model Amazon Favorit

I think i may have a Favorit from around 1966 converted to RHD at some point .
Does anyone have info about the spec of these base models please ? I read that they had less chrome trim for example. Mine has no side chromes and has swedish switch labels . A black air vent under the windscreen and black grills .
Any info appreciated thank you

In his book 'Volvo Amazon - The Complete Story', Richard Dredge says the following: (Page 9 - Reference 1965)

In October the Amazon Favorit is launched. It's a reduced-spec., cheaper version of the 75bhp two-door Amazon with a three-speed gear-box, minimal trim and no passenger sun-visor. Black paint with red seats is the only colour scheme available.

It is the only reference that I can immediately find to hand, but that is not to say that there may well be others! Hope this is of interest.

No rear centre arm rest. No chrome trim on the C post buttress. Beige/White ones to Denmark to get below a tax bracket. Later fitment of 4 speed common. Although a Favorit, this one looks "normal" except for the bare C post. It has normal grilles. Basic trim inside.

. mine has no chrome around the rear window or indeed the windscreen ,no chrome on the wings and is white with beige interior ,no centre armrest either

From the very useful Amazon pictures page "Type designation 13121V" should be on your black and silver data plate.
I'm pretty sure that the Favorit in my pictures didn't have a rear seat arm rest. See note on that list re those.
