Few trouble codes on my XC70

Good evening all,

I was just trying to sort an issue with my handbrake out today (which I managed to sort ), but as part of my troubleshooting I fired up the Torque app and read for any codes... well I got the below. None of which are causing any warning lights / CEL on the dash.

- P0049
- P1554
- P0299



Anyone seen/had familiar codes on their car? I must say mine drives well, perhaps the only relevant thing is the odd hesitation under WOT every now and then, but nothing that has ever concerned me too much.

Looks like I've got a few things to investigate. I am in the process of getting a DiCE tool so perhaps I should just wait for that to arrive first.

Car is a 2011 Volvo XC70 D5 (205).

Welcome mate. I notice those codes are all inactive, might be worth clearing them to see if they reappear or not.

While you are waiting on a dice unit, there maybe someone local enough on here that has one who could scan it? Various members will happily read your codes for a few beers or something.

I hadn't noticed that! I'll do as you say, good idea.

Will hopefully have the DiCE unit in a few weeks so can investigate more then 😀
