Can’t see that making 7-9k. Just looks horrible with tinted windows, interior colour is awful and auto box. Paint isn’t that great either, very flat on the roof by sunroof. Speedo in Kph doesn’t help.
I’m sure it’s an ok car but to me it just looks like it’s been polished and a ton of tyre black to tart it up. I hope it makes strong money as i own two T-5Rs but I’d be surprised if it made over 5k but you never know! |

It looks pretty decent to me, just some cosmetic work needed.
I'd say it'll go for the upper end of that estimate. Red is a good colour for these. The interior colour and light birch dash are marmite issues, but it looks to be in good order. The paintwork could probably be cured over a weekend with a DA polisher. A few details to be addressed as you'd expect - the roofrails look to be an amateurish fitment and so the rubbers need replacing to tidy it up; the headlamp wipers need replacing etc - nothing horrific. The 850R unique items are still present, and the mileage is still quite low. The cluster can be easily changed for a UK one (which is what I did to my imported 850R). The MoT history is good apart from a buckled wheel which is probably still fitted. So all in all, its a pretty decent example of a (likely) rust free Japanese import - IMHO

That interior hasn’t aged well at all, dated and looks cheap, compared to the dark grey interior. There is a nice 850R featured in this months Top Gear magazine actually
