Thanks again Clan. I didn't manage to find that rubber grommet so I've just taped up the hole. I'll check the brake pedal later. I'm guessing my only cure is a replacement servo unit?

I see there are several components......not sure which I'd need? Is this a DIY job do you think?

there are several items attached to the servo see if you can check which is leaking before you get a replacement servo . you might be able to hear a hiss in the car where the pedal push rod goes into the servo .
I would risk a used servo , It's not often they leak ..

Thanks a lot for your help Clan. I was thinking of giving a used unit a try. Will have a look online. Cheers

Hi guys. Just wanted to post a final update. I bought a used servo unit on eBay £75 delivered ( from Lithuania including master cylinder and reservoir). On my XC90 2003 you have to drop the engine down to get the units swapped over and I had to take the master cylinder off. I had to borrow my mate's pressure bleeding kit too to bleed the system properly. But all is well and thanks again to Clan. This is a great forum full of knowledgeable, experienced people. Happy days! Cheers
