2020 V60 sensus screen shutdown and car cut out
Just as I indicated to come off the dual carriageway the main centre screen went off whilst it was playing music through Spotify. I was indicating and the light continued to flash but the indicator sound also stopped . It came back to life and 100 yards up the road I stopped at traffic lights. The screen went off again and the engine cut out. Started straight away and got home ok 5 minutes later.
Only had the car 4 weeks so it’s under warranty. I’ll be calling them tomorrow but has anybody have a similar experience? |

Ours went off when leaving the dealers after some unrelated work. By the time we got back to them the service people had gone home, so it went back in a little later and we got the usual explanation - software updated. It's never done it again.

Now I think about it I think the engine stopped at the lights because the stop/start was reactivated after the screen through a wobbler. I always turn the SS off , So maybe the car didn’t cut out.
Hopefully a software update will sort it out then |

Volvo V60 2023 Centre screen shut down on motorway today
My centre screen also shut down several times on the motorway today, I was also listening to spotify... screen came back on again after a few seconds without fail. Further I noticed if I drive in Pure mode, of course the shutting down of the screen was resetting the car to Hybrid mode. Of course google map had to be reset, too! Not ideal on a motorway!
Tried to book an appointment with Volvo but two to three month waiting time for system check... Does anybody have any further advise. |

When the screen computer crashes or is rebooted you lose the indicator noise and some of the display in front of the driver, both on Sensus and AAOS.
If you have a Sensus car you also lose any customisation of the dials so if you've put it on "chrome rings" it goes back to the flat looking standard design. All comes back a minute or two later. It's just a tablet computer really, and just as prone to crash occasionally as the average Samsung etc.
