Default V90 Three Liter

If I try to lift the revs slightly above tickover, the revs climb to 2500 without any movement of the pedal,if I slowly release the pressure on the pedal there is a click and the revs drop to tickover. This has no effect whilst moving, only when parked out of gear.
I do like to lift the revs to about 1500 when I am parked with radio, heater etc on,and I seem to do a lot of waiting about in an otherwise cold car.
Any ideas?

Hi,

I have noticed something similar. You don't have a direct cable connection to the accelerator but a bellows system in the engine compartment.

It is near impossible to control the revs at the lower end whilst in park or neutral.

Normal operation as far as I can tell, bar the clicking as I haven't heard a click from mine.

Des. . .

Thanks Des, I only noticed the click as I had the bonnet open.
