Polestar anyone?

Does anybody have experience on the Polestar upgrade for the V40 D3?

no experience of it myself but have read feedback where owners have said it brings the D3 upto D4 levels of power and are very pleased with the results.

I have the new D4 vea, no polestar for that at present but am curious about the ricu tuning which takes it upto 220 bhp which would be a nice hike, but as yet have found no feedback.

Have you done it? Or gotten more info? I am also in Pta, with a D3 Powershift, and so far I am thinking rather Polestar than Rica, because they also do a gearbox software mod.

Just to clarify, the D4 VEA is one of the engines covered by the so-called 'New generation' Polestar Performance Optimisations which became available at the end of June. I treated my V60 to the upgrade in July and have written a feature on my experience which should appear in the December issue of Volvo Driver magazine.

Not yet.

I will anyway only consider Polestar to retain the warranty and motorplan.

Spoke to guys at Polestar, and the Auto Gearbox mods are only available on the new 4 cyl models. "“the new generation optimisation” is only offered to four cylinder drive-E VEA engines"

So they only enhance the engine power......
"We will not reprogram the gearbox. But, The gearbox will shift faster and smoother, especially in S-mode, because of the higher torque/power.
The Engine torque does affect the function of the gearbox in all Volvo models"

So I may be rethink this....

I was at the coast last week, and the little extra boost.....was awesome!!! And you can hear the turbo whistle even more.
