  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Absolutely. Not only are such recalls free of charge to the owner, Volvo have a long history of being uber cautious and issuing recalls at the slightest whiff of trouble. Even then, they don't issue that many.

Compare that with GM, who have car dashboards spontaneously combustion while being driven and they dragged it out for years denying there was a problem, and only issued a recall to have modified (and doubtless expensive) new fuse boards fitted when the media pressure became so great it was starting to hurt sales.

Manufacturers issue recalls, Volvo for all their faults are more conscientious than most when it comes to issuing them, and you're quite right to suggest melodrama is utterly unwarranted.
